About the authors:
B Mahadevan is a professor of Operations Management at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, where he has been teaching since 1992. He was formerly the Vice-Chancellor of Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, Kochi. He has more than 30 years of wide-ranging experience in teaching, research, consulting, and academic administration at IIM Bangalore and other reputed institutions. He is also one of the advisory board members of Vyoma Linguistic Labs Foundation.

Nagendra Karthik (N Karthik) is a business strategy and policy advisor. An alumnus of IIT Bombay, he has served as a Data Scientist in various organisations across domains. As a policy advisor, he was instrumental in formulating data-driven, revenue-neutral strategies to successfully implement the “Housing for All” policy. He also designed the capital appreciation and returns’ structure for private airports for them to be both profitable, yet affordable for the general public. He was one of the 30 Young Leaders under the age of 40 to represent India on a governance expedition to Israel. An ardent student of Vedanta and follower of Sanātana Dharma, he believes in an introspective approach within the wisdom of ancient Indians to solve current-day challenges.
